Q: How do I create an account?
A: Click "Register" on the home page, fill in your username, email, password, and display name. You'll receive a verification code via email (or check the console if email is not configured).
Q: I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
A: Click "Forgot Password" on the login page, enter your email, and you'll receive a reset code. Use this code to set a new password.
Q: How do I join a room?
A: Browse available rooms on the directory page and click "Join Room" on any room you'd like to enter. You can join as a guest or with your account.
Q: How do I start my camera/microphone?
A: Once in a room, click the "START BROADCAST" button. You'll be prompted to allow camera and microphone access. Make sure to grant permissions in your browser.
Q: How do I create my own room?
A: Click "Create Room" on the directory page, fill in the room details (name, display name, description), and click "Create". You'll automatically become the room owner.
Q: What are room roles?
A: Room owners can assign roles to users: "mod" (moderator), custom tier names, or "mumbler" (default). Mods and custom tiers can play media, while owners and mods can kick/ban users.
Q: How do I report a user?
A: Click on a user's name in the user list, then click "Report". Provide a reason for the report. Reports are reviewed by room moderators and administrators.
Q: How do I add friends?
A: Click on a user's name in the user list and click "Add Friend" (or the +Friend button). They'll receive a friend request and can accept or reject it.
Q: Can I customize my profile?
A: Yes! Click "Profile" in the navigation (when logged in) to customize your avatar, background, status message, about me, and even add custom CSS and background music.
Q: How do I play music in a room?
A: Room owners, mods, and users with custom tier roles can play media. Use the media menu or type commands like `.yt [YouTube URL]` or `.sc [SoundCloud URL]` in chat.
Q: I'm having connection issues. What should I do?
A: Try refreshing the page, check your internet connection, clear your browser cache, or try a different browser. If issues persist, contact support with details about the problem.
Q: How do I change my display name/nickname?
A: Click on your own name in the user list within a room to open the "Change Nickname" modal. You can set a different display name for each room.
